Male Card - Nature's Nest

I know I am supposed to be a scrapbooker but cards are really my thing at the moment. It helps to have people to make them for though.

Here's the card I made yesterday for a male friend who is turning 40 on the weekend. Male cards aren't easy to pull off, but I thought this cute Tortoise from the Nature's Nest stamp set made for a more male orientated card.

To create this Tortoise, I used watercolouring. If you would like to learn how to watercolour, contact me today for a in home workshop for you and your friends. It's sure to be a great day.

Ingredients Used:

Stamps:Nature's Nest, Party This Way, En Francais

Cardstock:Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush, Pacific Point, Whisper White, Water colour paper

Ink:Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush, Pacific Point, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Stazon Black

Accessories:1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon (Pear Pizzaazz), Stampin' Write Markers (Pacific Point, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black), Signo white Gel Pen, Brads,  Square Lattice Embossing Folder (Summer Mini, 1st Dec 2010 - 31st March 2011)

Tools: Aqua Painter, Sponge Daubers, Paper Snips, Corner Punch, Big Shot Die Cutting, Machine, Circle Scissor Plus 

Adhesives:Sticky Strip,  Stampin' Dimensionals, Tombo Mono Glue

I'm now off to make some baby cards as it seems to be in the air at the moment.

Retired Stamps are now on EBAY and a NEW CARD

Yes I have finally sat down for a couple of hours and uploaded my retired stamps onto Ebay, so if your after a bargain....please CLICK HERE.

I have had ALL IN THE FAMILY ($69.95) for at least two years now and have never really played with it. Here is a card I made to match the StampAmemory layout HERE.

 
I adore this Stampin' Around Wheel called Neighborhood ($15.95).

So as you can see you can take inspiration and spread it all the way through your work and it doesn't have to be boring.

The cards keep on coming

I don't know what it is but I am still in the mood to make cards.

 Here's a new one for you all...

I so love this 3.2cm wide Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and can see it on many creations in the future. It comes in 11 colours and is $19.95   per roll for 9.14 meters.

StampAmemory Challenge # 16 - SPRING

Time for another fun challenge from us at Stampamemory. 

With Spring greatly upon us all..... the flowers blooming, warming of the weather and the sweet smell in the air... it's truly time to be inspired by it.

Accessories: Crystal Effects, OnBoard Alphabet Soup Chipboard, Rhinestones, Top Note Big Shot Die, Stampin' Write Journaller, Hemp Twine, 1/2" Stitched - Poly Ribbon (In Colour - Blushing Bride)

Tools: Aqua Painter, Corner Punch, Stamp-ma-jig, Border Punch

Adhesives: Snail, Tombo Mono Glue, Sticky Strip

 

I really enjoyed all the water-colouring in this layout, even though it took me quiet some time. I recommend you give it ago, it truly is relaxing.

I can't wait to see what you come up with for this months SPRING challenge.
