Our Life....

School  and kinder has ended for the year and we are in full swing for many weeks of holidays. No we aren't going anywhere as I am due to have baby number 3 in 6 weeks...that thought is scary in itself...it's been awhile since there has been a baby in this household...Jasmine is 4 and a half now and my boy Ashton turned 7 yesterday...yes it's hard to believe we have a 7 year old now. The boys are off camping this weekend @ Bear Gully in lou of having a party...I think it's better for everyone. One, I don't have to stress about anything and Two, Ashton, Dad and Jarrah (Ashton's friend) will have a ball...more than a party could ever bring.

With Ashton going to a small school (all of 64 students) he had the entire school sing "happy birthday" to him at Monday school assembly. I just loved to seeing his face..

 
After the song, he climbed up on the railing and crowed like a rooster in line with school tradition.

 

We also just had my mother in law, whom I adore come stay with us for two weeks. It truly flew past but she was able to see many important things in such a short time. The putting up of the Christmas tree, the kids swimming lessons, Jasmine's last day of 3 year old kinder,  Ashton's end of year concert, my scary speech in front of 100 people for P and F, Bryan's boardwalk opening in Pioneer Bay and Ashton's birthday crow. I miss her as soon as she leaves and truly hope that one day she can live closer to us.

The last three weekends, Jasmine has had a birthday party to attend to. She has a busier social life than I do...haha. So I have been making cards...... here is one of them

I often find my colour inspiration from pictures off the internet and would love to know if you have any good places to find inspiration online...

Male Card - Nature's Nest

I know I am supposed to be a scrapbooker but cards are really my thing at the moment. It helps to have people to make them for though.

Here's the card I made yesterday for a male friend who is turning 40 on the weekend. Male cards aren't easy to pull off, but I thought this cute Tortoise from the Nature's Nest stamp set made for a more male orientated card.

To create this Tortoise, I used watercolouring. If you would like to learn how to watercolour, contact me today for a in home workshop for you and your friends. It's sure to be a great day.

Retired Stamps are now on EBAY and a NEW CARD

Yes I have finally sat down for a couple of hours and uploaded my retired stamps onto Ebay, so if your after a bargain....please CLICK HERE.

I have had ALL IN THE FAMILY ($69.95) for at least two years now and have never really played with it. Here is a card I made to match the StampAmemory layout HERE.

 
I adore this Stampin' Around Wheel called Neighborhood ($15.95).

So as you can see you can take inspiration and spread it all the way through your work and it doesn't have to be boring.

I don't know what it is but I am still in the mood to make cards.

I so love this 3.2cm wide Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and can see it on many creations in the future. It comes in 11 colours and is $19.95   per roll for 9.14 meters.

New Stamps

I am lucky enough to of got a few new stamp sets in my collection at late and I thought it really was time I cracked them open and gave them a ink up.

With bubs only 12 weeks away now, I also thought it would be a good idea to make a stash of cards for the future.

Lolly Bags

My son is having a small party with 5 of his mates this Saturday as he is turning the age of 6!! next week.  So I made them some lolly bags and couldn't resist making some tags for them.

They are so simple to make. I used
