I often hear (and sometimes say) "I love scrapbooking but I just don't have time." Scrapbooking doesn't have to take a big chunk of your day (or night!) If you love the hobby but are a bit time pressed, try keeping an eye out for super quick layouts and shortcuts.

I spotted one this month when I was reading Impressions - our demonstrator newsletter. A gorgeous layout, and looked like it'd be done in a flash. I decided to see if I could set myself a new scrapping record and finish it in 10 minutes!

First job - grab supplies. Pick a favourite photo from the photo box, a coordinating 4" x 6" piece of cardstock, a coordinating length of ribbon and some stamps, punch and brads to finish.

Layout base: Kraft Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant (textured) and Whisper White

Ribbon: Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain Ink: Baja Breeze and Elegant Eggplant

The stamps I used come from the stamp set 'Bloomin' With Beauty.' They seemed to nicely sum up what I felt when I looked at the photo.

The little flowers are punched with the Boho Blossoms Punch and I've used the very versatile Vintage Brads to attach them. I find the 4 colours in this pack are ones that come in handy time and time again. Pg 149 if you're looking for them.

Shortcut: I've attached the ribbon with a stapler. Not for any great design reason (although I do like the look) but mainly because it is just so quick and easy! Try to keep the staple within the ribbon and it doesn't bunch up as much I found.

10 minutes, 1 favourite photo scrapped and I feel better for having done some scrapbooking amidst the hustle and bustle of a busy weekend.

Oh WOW Sue. This takes my breath away! What an amazing photo of Hannah, and the page is just perfect! The colours, the sentiment, the design (I love the staples too). This is my new fave page of yours now! Makes me just want to scrapbook, which makes me happy :)
