Regular readers of my blog will know that we have a special friendship with a family called the Petries ... we do heaps together, from holidaying, to cooling off after a hot day at the beach, to picnicking, and so much more. We've been friends for seven years and we all get on so well. With three girls to keep Kieran entertained you may think that over time the friendship will wane but no ... it's stronger than ever. In years to come Kieran will be looking after all of these girls .... so all you boys out there had better watch out :o)
A two page layout this time .... using a new Autumn/Winter mini set called Vintage Vogue. I've used the 'vine like' stamp and a Versamark pad to create the pattern on the top right hand corner and then added in a few flowers stamped in Not Quite Navy with the large 11/4" Very Vanilla brads to make the lovely flowers.
Isn't that just the most beautiful flower - I love the matching little one to - so cute and I can see this set being very well used indeed. Another highlight of the new mini are the clear blocks - this meant that I was able to easily place the stamp to create the background - I could see right through the beautiful crystal block - check out the catalogue when you get your copy .... they are lovely to use - I think I am converted :o)
I've also used another of the stamps in the set together with the On Board Timeless Type, which I have covered with Not Quite Navy ink and Crystal Effects - I love this look.
A close up of the first page including the journalling ...
These photos cover seven years of friendship .... in instances like these where there are lots and lots of colours I pick the most prominent from all the photos - in this case there is a little bit of blue in most of the photos. Kraft is a great colour to work with - it goes with just about everything (and is available in a single colour pack of 12 x 12 in the new mini ... now isn't that little piece of information music to a scrapbooker's ears LOL), and then I've chosen a soft Designer Series Paper, Bella Bleu to compliment the photos and card.
Hope you like it ... I enjoyed putting it all together - I smiled all night remembering all the fun times we have had - here's to many more memory making events Petrie family.
Materials I've Used:
Cardstock: Kraft 12 x 12, Not quite Navy and Very Vanilla
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Versamark
Stamp Set: Vintage Vogue
Designer Series Paper: Bella Bleu
Embellishments: Very Vanilla brads, Crystal Glaze, Not Quite Navy Marker for journalling.
Nag your demonstrator for a copy of the new Autumn Winter mini - if you don't have a demonstrator then please contact me or any of the other Design Team members and we will pop one in the post for you.
Happy scrapbooking!
