Hidden deep in our enormous Ideas Book and Catalogue, you will find our speciality cardstock. Page 130 to be precise. I got a taste of what you can do with the Glossy Cardstock at my first ever Stampin' Up! demonstration. There, Claire Daly not only showed us all how to Crayon Resist and to have a awesome time just stamping but also hooked me in for life and two weeks later I became a Demonstrator myself.
Over the years (2 and a half now, boy does time flies) I have experimented with many techniques but whether it be with crayon or embossed...I just can't resist the Resist!
I have created this layout below very simply.
That is supposed to my clear embossing powder but my Dazzling Diamonds has mixed in with it a little.
To create a title block like this, you will need
Glossy Paper
Alphabet Stamp and a Decorative Stamp
Clear Embossing Powder
Versamark
Stampin' Buddy
Inks pads
Sponge Daubers or even just small pieces of sponge
Heat Tool
Stamp-ma-jig
Tissues
Start by rubbing down the entire piece of Glossy Paper with the Stampin' Buddy to reduce static.
Using your Stamp-ma-jig to help you get your title the way you would like it, ink up your alphabet stamps with Versamark and stamp your title and decorative stamp.
Sprinkle the Clear Embossing powder over Versamark, pour off excess.
Melt the powder with your Heat tool, staying a good distance from the paper, to prevent it from over heating.
Allow to cool properly for a minute or so.
Now using your sponge daubers, drab a dauber on a ink pad and drag across the glossy paper a few times, even over where you have embossed previously.
Continue with other desired colours.
Once you have covered the glossy paper with ink, wipe down the embossed title and decoration with a tissue to remove any excess
And it's as simple as that.
I hope you can get a chance to try this technique in your scrapbooking soon.

I love the layout you used and the instructions on making the rainbow effect. I have to admit embossing is one of my weak points. :(. But I love what you have done and it goes so nicely with your daughter's T Shirt. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Beautiful, Tan. I want a t-shirt like that! This technique works beautifully on this layout, and, as always, you've done an amazing job with it. :)

I love how you have picked up on all the colours of the girl's t-shirts in title piece. It all ties together really nicely.

That is so pretty. I love the way it picks up on the colours and patterns in your daughter's tshirt.
