As a scrapbooker, I have bought a couple of the Simply Scrappin' kits, but I have a confession to make ... I've think I have only used them to make two pages ... so I thought I'd make amends and see if I could create a page using the new Sunny Day kit from the Autumn Winter Mini.
I only own half of this kit (I shared it with a friend) but that hasn't stopped me from creating a beautiful bright page ... and there is heaps left over that I am determined to make more with.
I used a layout idea from the Art With Heart Team monthly scrapbooking challenge and set to work creating a page in less than two hours (I'm a little time poor at the moment)! These photos have been waiting (patiently) to be scrapped since 2007 ... and the colours worked perfectly with Tempting Turquoise and Pink Passion.
The circle has been cut freehand - I traced around two dinner plates - and the title has been created using the On Board Timeless Type chipboard letters. I have coloured the letters with a Pink Passion marker and then stamped a little image over the top in Whisper White Craft Ink - I was going to put Crystal Effects on them but decided that they looked lovely with a sort of 'suede' effect ... what do you think?
I was struggling to get the six letters onto the page so I added a little bit of Whisper White cardstock to the 'b' so that I could overlap the photo with it.
The little detail on the left hand side of the page was so easy to create with the self adhesive die cuts that are included in the kit.
And the journalling panel was easy to use too, mounted on Tempting Turquoise cardstock it reads:
Yours eyes, your hair, your smile, your complexion,
everything about you equals beauty -
never forget how beautiful you are!
Take another look at the Scrappin Kits, there are a few to choose from, they really do make it easy to 'speed scrap'.
Happy scrapping.

Absolutely stunning Nikki! Olivia if these are bad photos - you have to let her scrap some good ones because they must be out of this world! You ARE beautiful!

This is such a beautiful page, for your beautiful girl, Nikki. The colours are gorgeous. I really like the 'suede' look of the letters; perfect for this layout.

Gorgeous Nikki. Love the photos. Those letters came up so well with the stamping on them. Must give that a try.
