I have a quick and simple double layout for you today.
Last year I took a bunch of photos of Hannah standing ready to head out the door to school. These photos were not from the usual angle - they were of the back of her head! We got a little weird and wonderful with the hairstyles for a few months so I thought I'd grab some pics of a few.
It is nice sometimes to capture those little everyday happenings.
I had lots of blues in the photos so kept the background simple with Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla. I've used the textured 12" x 12" cardstock from a textured neutrals pack. (Pg 127 - you get 4 sheets each of Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand, Going Gray, Basic Gray and Black. A handy pack if you like your neutrals and love that beautiful subtle texture.)
I added some strips of Night Of Navy and So Saffron.
I used my Big Shot and Lots of Tags (pg 10) Sizzlits to cut the journalling tag from a scrap of Sahara Sand. I'm finding with my Big Shot and sizzlits like this set and the alphabet that I'm making much better use of my little scraps and leftovers.
Quick, inexpensive and easy, but a fun layout for our family to look at. Hannah and I have been picking our favourites (and our "What were we thinking!" ones too) - so perhaps it'll double as a bit of a 'hairstyle menu!'
Happy Scrapping!
Cheers, Sue

Oh what a fun layout Sue. DD6 and I love doing crazy hairstyles too... until she took to her hair with scissors. Aaargghhh!!! Great project.

Oh my goodness Sue, she looks soooo much like you. It's photos like these that make me wish I had a duaghter so I could play with here hair! What a lovely, simple idea for a layout.
