To celebrate KP's 12th birthday I bought the Big Shot Timeless Type Alphabet ... okay I didn't really but I am loving it all the same .... and if I ever felt I could get away with celebrating the birthdays of my children by 'investing ' in Big Shot dies I reckon I'd give it a go :)
Every year, on the eve of the birthdays I ask a series of questions and I record the answers. This is the first year I have ever done anything with the answers - I am so pleased that it is finally down on a page ...
I ask questions like ... favourite animal, favourite song, favourite meal and it has been great to record KP's favourites at 12 years of age.
The Big Shot Alphabet is every scrapbooker's dream ... with a child called Kieran you can understand how many alphabets I buy - there is normally only one or two 'k's' and 'i's' - and when you consider his sister is called Olivia ... alphabets get very expensive.
So I am enjoying not only creating my own unique titles for pages ... but also that I can now write my children's names as many times as I like, in any colour and material that I can lay my hands on ... over and over again ...
So the colours for this page, well a piece of 12 x 12 Kraft card stock, the Chocolate Chip Designer Series Paper pack and a piece of 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. Such a simple layout but just perfect for these photos and the moment in time they capture. The little ribbon detail is the double rectangle punch with ribbon threaded through and of course, the shine on the letters is Crystal Glaze.
Hope this inspires you to scrap and record your family's treasured moments .... the SAM team will be back soon with more inspiration.
Nikki
